Yes, we are doing the right thing

Not always do you need a stamp from someone to certify that you are doing the right thing but sometimes that just adds on to the motivation. Something similar happend a few days back. Our motivation just increased a few times when we saw that we are being copied and that people want to follow what we are trying to do.
To share a little background, when we launched, a lot of people asked us why Halabol and why not Hallabol? Honestly speaking, it was just because we did not get that domain name. A common thing in the web sphere where people buy catchy domain names and hope that someone else would try to build something around it and they will sell the domain name at a premium. And that's what happened with us too, alas we could not afford to buy it.
Our objectives are clear, we want to make a mark in the social space and create a platform which becomes a natural place for the change makers. Yes, we stuck with the idea and ignored having that extra L in our name. For us, its the cause that matters and if people also find it noteworthy, the spelling won't matter. Would it?
Till the day we launched, the Hallabol domain was not working. Recently we noticed that the site is up with some stuff and that they also now have a Petitions' feature. What's more interesting is that they've even copied the Issues list from us, with almost all the issues being exactly the same. Not sure what are they trying to build but for now it just gives us additional motivation that people must be seeing something worthy enough that they are trying to copy us. Assured, we are on the right track!
